Every bottle scheduled, at what it would cost to replace.

Collectors come to you with receipts, a spreadsheet, or nothing. VaultSomm gives them an itemized schedule of every bottle at its estimated replacement value.

Today

The problem you face today.

  • Scheduled-property applications often arrive with purchase receipts, or with nothing.
  • Underwriters push back on values they can’t trace.
  • Collections change: bottles are bought, opened and sold, and last year’s schedule goes stale.

What VaultSomm does

Three things VaultSomm does for you.

  1. An itemized schedule

Every bottle with producer, vintage, format, quantity, storage location and an estimated replacement value range, with totals.

  2. Laid out for carriers

A PDF with per-bottle detail and collection totals, ready to attach to an application.

  3. Kept current

Values refresh quarterly, and the schedule can be refreshed each year at a lower price than a new one.

In your work

What changes for you.

The application arrives complete.

Producer, vintage, format, quantity, storage location and condition for every bottle, with an estimated replacement range and collection totals.

Underwriters can trace the number.

The schedule is dated, states its method, and shows a low-to-high replacement range per bottle rather than a single figure.

Storage and condition on the record.

Fill level, label condition, capsule and original wooden case are recorded per bottle, alongside where it is kept.

Photographs and receipts behind it.

Receipts, bottle photographs, auction records and prior appraisals attach to each bottle for when a carrier asks.

Renewal is a refresh, not a rebuild.

Bottles opened or sold drop off the schedule; new purchases join it. An annual refresh of an existing schedule costs less than a new one.

Review: Storage location, fill level, label condition and original wooden case are per-bottle fields in the app and appear in the insurance PDF’s provenance line; photographs and receipts are Connoisseur attachments and are not embedded in the PDF.

Working together

How it runs, start to finish.

  1. Your client starts a cellar

Label photos, a spreadsheet, or a storage facility’s list.

  2. They share it, or send the PDF

Invite you as a viewer to open the schedule yourself, or attach the PDF to the application.

  3. Attach it to the application

Itemized, dated, with totals, in the detail scheduled-property forms ask for.

  4. Refresh each year

A new schedule at renewal, from the cellar as it stands.

Why trust it

Replacement value, shown honestly.

  • Replacement value is estimated from retail and auction comparables and shown as a low-to-high range per bottle.
  • Each schedule is dated and recommends a certified appraiser where a carrier needs a formal appraisal.
  • A cellar is visible only to its owner and the people they invite, at the role the owner chose. See the privacy policy for more details.

Review: The plan’s proof point, replacement value kept as a separate evidence stream from fair value, is in the Phase 4 engine, which does not drive any displayed value yet. Today’s schedule uses the live engine’s weighted auction and retail comparables. "In the format carriers accept" is softened: no carrier has confirmed it.

Questions

Questions we hear first.

Is this an appraisal?

No. It is an estimated replacement value from market comparables, and the schedule says so. It recommends a certified appraiser where a carrier requires a formal appraisal, and gives that appraiser an itemized starting point.

How current are the values?

The schedule is dated the day it is generated. Paid plans refresh values each quarter, and an existing schedule can be refreshed each year at a lower price than a new one.

Will my carrier accept it?

Carriers decide for themselves. The schedule carries the per-bottle detail scheduled-property applications ask for; where a carrier needs more, it names the certified-appraiser route.
